Adam’s June sale of Fine Period Furnishings, Paintings & Silver includes almost 50 lots of glass and silver from Abbeville, Kinsealy, as well and fine furniture and pictures from the estate of Anne Bullitt. The sale comprises 540 lots, with a large proportion unreserved. Highlights from the late Anne Bullitt’s estate include: fine quality period French furniture including a pair of giltwood fauteuils (Est: €3,000-4,000); an early Victorian mahogany extending dining table on a robust turned centre pillar with quadruped base (€6,000-10,000); drawings of historical significance by early twentieth century socialist illustrators Boardman Robinson and Art Young; a white marble statue of Diana the Huntress, 19th Century, 169cm high (Est: €15,000-20,000); and a number of watercolour on silk 19th Century Chinese scrolls depicting figures, animals and plants. Other highlights from the sale include Samuel J. Lamorna Birch’s The River Plym at Shaugh Bridge (Est: €5,000-8,000); In a Garden at Sorrento and Near Ballater by Myles Birket Foster (Est: €3,000-5,000 each); rare porcelain items including a Beleek China first period double spouted Chinese tea urn on brass mounted dragon stand (Est: €2,000-3,000) and a rare Victorian Minton majolica jug (Est: €1,000-1,500); silver items include a George III silver gilt table snuff box, London 1798 (Est: €3,000-4,000) and a set of 12 Regency dinner plates, London, 1819 (Est: €8,000-12,000); a set of 10 mahogany Georgian Revival dining chairs in the Hepplewhite style (Est: €3,000-5,000); a large mahogany Regency serving table of inverted breakfront form (Est: €2,000-4,000) and a George III mahogany serving table with raised back (Est: €2,000-3,000).
