Adam’s invites clients to go Live

Ireland’s leading Fine Art auctioneers and valuers, James Adam & Sons has become the first auction house in Ireland to introduce live internet bidding in their art and antique sales, leading the way in auction information communication technology (ICT).

Working with online auctioneer specialists, Live Auctioneers in association with eBay Live Auctions, Adam’s is offering clients the first opportunity to view and bid online in real time for any lot being sold in the saleroom by logging on to www.liveauctioneers.com or www.eBay.com.  The new service is fast, efficient and convenient for potential bidders to use anywhere in the world, proving to be a more flexible option to regular commission and telephone bidding.

“In our business, clients come first and this new bidding system is designed with them in mind to ensure they don’t miss an opportunity with any of our sales,” Eamon O’Connor, Associate Director, James Adam & Sons explains. 

“Busy lifestyles, travel restrictions and different time zones limit some of our clients from bidding in person, so viewing and bidding on line is a convenient, safe and secure option to keep a live track of the lots as they sell on the day.

Adam’s catalogues, complete with lot descriptions, images and estimates can be previewed online on their own web site at www.adams.ie, which will provide a link to liveauctioneers.com, where you can register for the service and vice versa.  The bidding can be tracked on line on the sale day with registered bidders able to either leave an on-line absentee bid or wait to bid instantaneously against the saleroom as the auction is in progress.

“Adam’s believe on-line live bidding will be of particular value at the forthcoming ‘Independence Sale’ that is certain to attract a global audience on 12th April, as well as internationally popular Irish art and Irish furniture auctions throughout the year,”  he  concluded.

Adam’s Fine Art and Antique Auction on Wednesday 8th March will be the first opportunity to bid on-line with the saleroom.  The sale catalogue will be available to browse online at www.liveauctioneers.com and www.ebay.com from 1st March.
