THE WESTMEATH CHALLENGE URN, London 1834, mark of Charles Reily and George Storer, this large urn with horse finial on shaped circular cover, the rims with waves of chasing, the body with applied leaf wrapped 'S' scrolling handles applied to waisted sides, depicting the Westmeath hunt in full flight, galloping across the countryside to both sides of the urn above chased scrollwork in high relief, raised on a naturalistically cast cased leaf work scrolling circular base, with upturned lips (the cover 42oz, urn circa 115oz). 54cm high, 38cm wide over handles
