A THINLY POTTED DEHUA / BLANC DE CHINE PORCELAIN VASE

CHINA, QING DYNASTY, POSSIBLY KANGXI PERIOD
The pear-shaped body is incised by a raised keyfret band, and the tapering neck flanked by ear-shaped handles suspending loose rings. The base bears an old handwritten collector label: ‘XVIIe K’ang - Hsi 1662 -1723’.
H: 15 cm

Provenance:
- a private collection;
- formerly the property of Otto Gürgen, a German prominent industrialist in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the 1930s (by repute).

Note: Compare with a related vase, formerly in the the George de Menasce (1891-1967) collection, sold at CHRISTIE’S New York, USA, ‘Sacred and Imperial: The James and Marilynn Alsdorf Collection’, 2020-09-04/29, lot 49, for USD 3,250.
