Gerard Casey, (20th Century) That Little Bit of Autumn Blue Oil on board. 59 x 59cm Signed and dated '04, also signed and dated verso Gerard Casey was born in Kilkenny, studied at Limerick and Cork Colleges of Art and continued with post-graduate studies in Ontario College of Art, Canada. He now lives and works in Kilkenny, travelling regularly to Italy. Casey has exhibited throughout Ireland and abroad - to name but a few: Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin; Oireachtas Exhibition, Dublin; Kilcock Art Gallery, Kildare; Dyehouse Art Gallery, Waterford; Collyer-Bristow Gallery, London. He has received numerous awards including The Arts Council Travel Award and has been given critical acclaim in many publications such as The Irish Times, Sunday Tribune, Irish Contemporary Art amongst many others.
