Peter Monaghan (b.1955) Contour Lines Gouache, 100 x 120cm Signed and dated 06 verso Peter Monaghan studied at the National College of Art and Design during the mid 1970s. After having worked with Dara O'Lochlainn's design firm for many years and having received awards for his creations in packaging, graphics and industrial design, Peter Monaghan set up his own firm in 1983 - Monaghan Design. He has designed a number of catalogues for the National Gallery of Ireland, the Hugh Lane Gallery of Municpal Art and the Irish Museum of Modern Art. Most recently Monaghan has been focusing less on design and more on painting and sculpture.
