A VICTORIAN SILVER PRESENTATION SALVER, Sheffield 1815, makers mark possibly that of John Winter, of circular form with raised garoom border enclosing engraved inscription 'Presented to Charles Sandes, India Ville Portarlington, Esq J.P., Late Captain in the H.M. Scots Fusilier Guards, by the Tenantry of the Queens Co. Kildare & Limerick Estates of the estate of Charles Coote, as a testimonial of their esteem & regard for him together with their high appreciation of his excellent qualities as agent in the management of these extensive properties for upwards of 30 years, Mountrath, August 1854.'
