WORMWOOD SCRUBS HUNGER STRIKE 1920 A rare photograph showing participants and supporters in the Wormwood Scrubs hunger strike of May 1920, taken in the grounds of the prison hospital, showing some 60 prisoners and supporters, with a tricolour marked 'RELEASE OR DEATH', with a few nurses. With a cutting from the Sunday Press, 9.12.1951, showing a similar photograph (same participants, not quite the same pose), identifying many of the participants, who include the hospital governor, Captain Luck, and his wife. 8 x 11 1/2 ins.
