Galway Medals A collection of medals comprising of the 1916 Easter Rising medal, 1966 50th Anniversary Rising medal, a 1919-1921 War of Independence medal with comrach bar and the War of Independence 50th Anniversary survivors medal. With original presentation boxes. Together with a Military Service Pension Certificate of Michael Barrett, Caheroyan, Athenry, showning that he had active service from 1916 to 1923, earning him grade 'E'. A number of this family were involved in the Rising and War of Independence and we cannot say for certain which one was awarded these medals. Sold as a collection connected to the Barrett family.
