Three-quarter length standing, full wig, in a blue cloak with lace cuffs and jabot 130 x 105cm Ref: Gurr Johns Inventory 1914 p.111 ?25 ''Staircase'' Provenance: Rockingham House Henry King 1680-1740, M.P. for Boyle, succeeded as 3rd baronet 1720 and in 1722 married Isabella Wingfield of Powerscourt. He took the Tory side over the Hanoverian succession that precluded him from any great career of state. He was a founder member of the Dublin Society and reduced the Rockingham estate to settle debts.
