Paris, Silversmith, Birkdale, the blade decorated with engraved scrolls and bellflowers, and bearing the inscription ''Presented to the Lady Mayoress (Lady Hampson) by Haigh & Thompson on the occasion of laying the Foundation Stone of the new building Liverpool Infirmary for Children October 28th 1904'' with an applied fluted and acanthus leaf wrapped handle. 30.5cm long
