AN IRISH FOUR PIECE SILVER TEA SERVICE, Dublin 1977, mark of Alwright & Marshall, comprising teapot, cream jug, sugar bowl and sauce boat (1978), the teapot of squashed pear form, the domed hinged lid with naturalistic swan finial above a wavy collar, the body chased and embossed to one side with a swan amongst reeds, to the other side with a fox and contained within bands of fruiting vines and foliage, raised on three lion mask capped paw feet, and applied with ebon handle, (c.1524g all in). The teapot 25cm wide over handle and spout. (4)
