Nicola Cassisa was active in Campania and Naples as a painter of still life scenes, flowers and birds. He was a pupil of Andrea Belvedere. Some of Cassisa’s paintings were in the 1714 inventory of Duke Nicola Coppola di Canzano. Among Cassisa’s students are Leonardo Coccorante and Giorgio Garri.
