PETER HOWELL (B.1932) Heading Towards the Finish Oil on canvas, 50 x 60.5cm Signed Born in Wales in 1932, Peter Howell was immersed into the world of racing at a young age, working for renowned trainer George Lambton at Newmarket. In 1969 he turned his attention to painting full time and achieved considerable success both in England and America, showing at Ackermann, London; Criswick, New York and Cross Gate Gallery in Lexington.
