Memorial print of Lord Cavendish (1836-1882) Depicting him in the centre of a memorial wreath of roses, approx 37 x 36cm *Lord Frederick Charles Cavendish (1836 - 1882) was an English Liberal politician and prot?g? of the Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone, he was appointed to the post of Chief Secretary for Ireland on the 6th May 1882. He was attacked and assasinated with Thomas Henry Burke, while both men were walking in the Phoenix Park on the same afternoon.
