A War of Independence Medal with Comrach Bar - awarded to Patrick Kennedy, Athenry, Husband of aforementioned Kathleen Cleary, Brother of Bridget Lardner and Brother-in law of Comdt. Larry Lardner fought in the 1916 Easter Rising and the War of Independence. Patrick died in 1963 and narrowly missed receiving the 1966 Jubilee Medal as a result. His 1916 Easter Rising Medal is in the possession of his Son.
