James Richard Marquis RHA (1862-1885) The Valley of the Dargle Looking Towards Bray, Co Wicklow, Ireland Oil on panel, 35 x 30cm (13.75 X 11.75'') Original exhibition label verso Marquis exhibited several works entitled ''The Valley of the Dargle'' at the RHA in 1860, 1866 and 1870 of which this could be one. He exhibited numerous Wicklow landscapes throughout his exhibiting career.
