Signed and dated 'Scott 63' and inscribed '24' verso Executed in 1963 Provenance: with The Dawson Gallery, Dublin, where purchased by the present owner The Cork born Scott did not become a full-time artist until 1960. This early work is arresting in its monochrome simplicity and elegant design. In July of this year, Patrick (a founding member of Aosd?na) was conferred by the President with the title of Saoi, the highest honour that can be bestowed upon an Irish artist, no more than 5 people can hold this title at any one time.
