AN EDWARDIAN DIAMOND TIARA-NECKLACE COMBINATION, CIRCA 1905

The graduated Edwardian design composed of nine shaped pendent drops, set throughout with old brilliant, cushion and rose-cut diamonds, to a detachable fancy-link chain, each lozenge-link highlighted with rose-cut diamonds, mounted in gold, diamonds approximately 15.00cts total, with fitted white metal tiara frame tied with ribbon of gold colour, necklace length 39.5cm, tiara width 14.5cm

This Edwardian tiara-necklace combination is similar in design to that owned by Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, a piece which she has worn for banquets, state visits as well as when photographed for Vogue magazine. The design was popular throughout the 19th century and into the early 20th century.
