Dillon (John) An interesting autograph signed letter, 2pp (single folded sheet) on House of Commons paper, dated 11th March 1897, to a Waterford farmer, Mr. P. Fitzgerald, Ballinafina, Rathgormac, concerning 'grabbing' of land for which tenants have been evicted, saying there are no funds at the disposal of the Evicted Tenants Committee, ''Land-grabbing can only be put down by the people themselves by a strong organisation and the pressure of public opinion. In many parts of Ireland where the people are united and organised, I am glad to say that evicted farms have remained untouched for years, and until the rightful owners have been reinstated,'' some soiling or dirt marks, but scarce.
