LETTER FROM BOYLE ALDWORTH, to his daughter Susy Aldworth, dated 'Bath, December 1, 1750, postage charge verso, 10d, ink on paper, in very clear hand.

 

The Aldworth's were a landed family at Newmarket, Co. Cork, of English descent and in the 18th century related to the Viscounts Doneraile. They intermarried with the landed Oliver family of Castle Oliver, Co. Limerick. The writer, Boyle Aldworth inherited the Newmarket estate and was married to Jane Oliver.
