The box is of rectangular shape and opens by a lid retained by hinges. Finely inlaid with a dragon and flowers as well as with flying butterflies and gourd wines, i.e. numerous auspicious symbols for happiness and a long-lasting male descent.

§ Bidders should be advised that importation regulations of several countries, including the US, prohibits the importation of ivory and that of coral, or any goods containing same.
