A CARVED FRUITWOOD MONK'S BENCH IN THE MANNERIST STYLE, 19th century, the shaped cornice surmounting a carved frieze flanked on either side by human masks in relief, each above a tapering carved figure also in relief, the triple panelled back decorated with fruiting vines and mythological creatures etc., and each section centred by a portrait medallion, the rectangular seat with hinged lift top compartment, on corresponding carved panelled base. 160cm high, 133cm wide, 48cm deep
