Patrick Cashin (20th Century) Moonlit Beach Oil on canvas, 50 x 60cm Signed also signed and inscribed verso The painting illustrated here is a particularly atmospheric example of Patrick's work, featuring a view of the sea at night, and the effects of moonlight across the waves, surf and sands. Based on locations along the Irish coast, Patrick's work is very much part of the tradition of painting as evocation and impression, and colour, light and atmosphere are of particular note and importance in his work. Patrick is a regular contributor to The Contemporary and Modern Sale at Adam's, and his work has been exhibited widely, including exhibitions in Ireland, The U.K., and The United States, most recently with his work being featured at The 20/21 International Art Fair in Kensington, London, in February of this year.
