Norman Garstin (1847-1926) Village view from across a field oil on canvas, 43 x 53cm (17 x 20.8'') Signed The view is of Burford, in the Cotswolds, where he had a summer school in 1916. The picture has a church on the left. Another similar work in the Art Gallery in Norwich has the same church on the right. Both works are in the catalogue raisonne compiled by Pryke on page 210, Norman Garstin, Irishman and Newlyn Artist, Spire Books Ltd, 2005.
