Evie Hone H.R.H.A. (1894-1955) Mother & Child, design for Eton College stained glass Gouache on board, 40 x 27.5 cm. (15 3/4 x 10 ?'') Provenance: with The Dawson Gallery, Dublin The present work is a preliminary design for the East Window of Eton Chapel. The window was installed in 1952 following bomb damage and is considered to be not only Hone's tour de force, but one of the finest examples of modern stained glass.
