Robert James Enraght Moony RBA (1879-1946) The Pied Piper of Hamelin Oil on paper, 50 x 56.5cm, (19.75 x 22.25'') Signed and dated 1909 Moony exhibited widely at such prestigious institutions as the Royal Academy, New English Art Club and Royal Hibernian Academy. He was greatly influenced by the Symbolist style of Italian Post-Impressionist Giovanni Segantini and as in the present example, was interested in the tradition of faery subjects and story-telling.
