Provenance: From the collection of the writer Percy Arland Ussher (1899 - 1980) and thence by descent to current owner.

Literature: Another version of "Cinema" is illustrated in "Irish Art and Modernism" by Dr SB Kennedy Pg32 and mentioned on Pg42 that it shows "his debt to Contemporary German print making and to his teacher at the Kunstakademie in Kassel in Germany Ewald Dulburg." A similar pair of woodcuts were exhibited in "The Moderns" IMMA 2010/2011 and illustrated in the accomanying book. P69
