A DIAMOND, LAQCQUER AND GOLD 'TRINITY' BRACELET, BY CARTIER
Designed as three interlocking tri-coloured bands, one band enhanced with pavé-set diamonds, one band enhanced with black lacquer panther spots, one polished rose-gold band, mounted in 18K gold, diamonds approximately 4.50cts total, signed Cartier, numbered, maker's mark, maker's box with suede cushion, inner diameter 6.4cm
The Trinity by Louis Cartier
The iconic Trinity ring was designed in 1924 by Louis Cartier, in response to a commission from artist and writer Jean Cocteau. The sleek and simple design of three interlocking rings of different colour gold quickly became a Cartier classic and inspired a whole collection of intertwined jewels.
The rose gold band represents love, the yellow gold band fidelity and the white gold band friendship and in combination are a lasting symbol of relationships. The Trinity models are also a technical accomplishment with the three bands sliding smoothly over the skin.
