Born in Manhattan and raised in Cork, Patrick worked and travelled in America, England and Spain before returning to Cork. His work is included in many private and public art collections, and was acquired by the UCC/Glucksman Gallery Art Collection in July 2006. He also exhibited at The Hunt Museum in Limerick in 2008 and his work has been exhibited and collected in Europe, Australia and the United States.
Cashin’s work is predominantly based on the Irish coast and landscape, which provides a
n ongoing source of inspiration. His style is essentially representational, capturing scenes from his surroundings using rich colour and producing strong light effects and a rich sense of atmosphere.
