Oval, gilt on copper, crowned Maid of Erin harp engraved at centre dividing the designation ''1st'' and ''TRp'', the date ''1796'' engraved in the field below, twin ribbons above and below bearing the regimental title ''Royal Dublin Lt. Dragoons'', twin hooks and pair of fixing studs to reverse, circa 1796, 3.25'' x 2.5'' (8.3 x 6.4cm) vertical approx. The initials ''MA'' are crudely scratch engraved on the reverse centre of this badge.
